Does having a meeting with agents of another club, under the pretext of having ice cream constitute proper gentlemanly conduct? Hleb’s agent surely thinks so. Mr “20%” would like us to believe that Hleb is after all a Gentleman and likes to do things the proper way.

I recently pointed out that Hleb will be hard pressed to use the “Webster clause”. The player through his agent has indicated that he will in fact not be invoking “article 17″. This is a bit of good news for the club, we won’t have to waste time in a silly court battle and we will get a good price for the player, surely more than we paid Stuttgart.

Hleb agent is at it again with this little beauty.

“Alexander is just tired of the noisy and chaotic life in the British capital and feels like living in calmer surroundings.”

I don’t know how much of this is just a reaction to an interview Hleb did recently He was asked about life in London and his response alluded to the fact that he don’t go out partying and clubbing and in that sense lives a very secluded life.

In the interview he gave no indication that he has a problem with the club or London even going as far to say that he “owes a lot to Wenger”. Hleb added

“There is a lot of speculation about me, and I will not be making statements on this and stirring it up further.”

Interpret this as you wish.

Interestingly he mentioned something about (and someone can correct me if I’m wrong, my command of the German language is not that good) reinforcements will be arriving to the club, but he is confident will not fear competition for his place. This certainly does not sound like a man on the move.

Wenger says he will be busy this summer, I doubt he will be looking for a striker though, as he has faith in Van Persie, and Eduardo .

Arsene expects Dudu to be back at the end of August and at his “top, top level” in November just about the same time he started showing his worth last season. Let’s all hope that Wenger is right with his forecasts.

On van Persie he has bound to have one injury free season, or is this really wishful thinking on my part?
